Song examples of modal music: Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian

I found a great thread about examples of modal music today, so I've created some spotify playlists for the different music modes:


Ionian mode (I)



Dorian mode (II)



Phrygian mode (III)



Lydian mode (IV)



Mixolydian mode (V)



Aeolian mode (VI)



Locrian mode (VII)




I've also added all these playlists in the left column of this page.

    A good add to your Dorian mode list could be Chris Isaak - Wicked Game.

    I find "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac a perfect example of the Lydian mode. Also "Ramblin' Man" by the Allman Brothers for Mixolydian.
